We take owner surrenders for cats and dogs as we have room. When circumstances become impossible for an owner to care for their pet, we work with them to take in their pet and re-home them. We understand how difficult it can be to give up a beloved pet. We work very hard to re-home the pet into a home that is a good fit for the animal and the new owner.
This is done on a case-by-case basis, and as we have room. We cannot accommodate every request for an owner surrender.
Please note intake fees are to be collected at the time your pet is surrendered to The Bridge Home No Kill Animal Rescue. Donations above the stated fee are greatly needed and most appreciated. The Bridge Home No Kill Animal Rescue is non-profit and relies on donations.
There is a $50.00 surrender/intake charge for both cats and dogs, along with a $15.00 fee for any additional vaccine we have to administer upon intake.
Dogs must be current on rabies, distemper/parvo, and bordetella vaccines.
Cats must be current on rabies and distemper vaccines and have a negative feline leukemia test.
For cat surrenders, if at all possible please have cats or kittens in a pet carrier or a secure box.
We are a small facility that greatly values the support and generosity of individuals who are willing to foster our animals in need. Some of our animals require a break from the kennel environment or specialized care, and fostering provides them with a nurturing temporary home. If you are interested in becoming a foster for our animals, please complete the form below. Your contribution can make a significant difference in their lives. Thank you for considering fostering!
We have a very small staff and depend on volunteers to do much of our work. We welcome new volunteers aged 18 and older. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Most volunteer hours are 12 pm to 6 pm, but accommodations can be made if you’d like to volunteer in the morning instead.
